BK Partners - Release Train Engineer

Main Activities


Executes following tasks

  • Drive the Agile process and ceremonies. Prepare and drive the PI planning sessions and secure readiness to es-tablish Art backlog, build release plans and manage progress
  • Lead the Art (12 Scrum teams) to success while navigating the complexity of delivering software consistently
  • Resolves and escalates impediments beyond team's authority, manages risk, and assures value delivery at the Art level
  • Builds an environment of continuous improvement at Art level
  • Facilitates getting the work done, and guide teams in being successful and focused on delivery
  • Accountable for the overall coordination, execution and delivery
  • Prepares and provides all relevant Art management reporting
  • Develop an Art release communication plan
  • Liaise and collaborate with Product Manager and System Architect
  • Maintain and manage together with the Scrum Teams the program board
  • Resolving/reporting issues and managing dependencies and risks across the Art and between Arts
  • Train Scrum Masters and Product Owners across the Art
  • Organize & facilitate the Cop for Scrum Masters




Qualifications & experience

  • SAFe SPC and/or RTE certification is required
  • 10+ years of experience leading IT projects (and 3+ years of experience as Scrum Master)
  • 2-3 years of experience in leading large scale transformation programs, involving business processes and change, organization change and multiple technology components)
  • Adequate knowledge of French, Dutch and English to work with all business and technical stakeholders and suppliers
  • Facilitated 3+ SAFe PI's
  • Coaching and working experience in a Lean & Agile environment is a must
  • Experience in the Insurance industry is considered an asset

  • Demonstrates knowledge about scaling Lean & Agile practices, and understands the unique opportunities and challenges associated with facilitating and continuously aligning a large development program
  • Servant leader attitude
  • Diplomacy & strong communication skills that are tailored to audiences appropriately
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to lead through influence and remove roadblocks
  • Ready to work as a team player in a SAFe Agile Scrum team located in Brussels on a full time employment basis.
