Context
Our client in Brussels is driving a major digital transformation and global cloud security standardisation. We seek a confirmed senior AWS DevSecOps / Cloud Security Engineer to implement NIS2-compliant security controls across AWS environments.
Key responsibilities
- Implement AWS-native security controls defined by the Cloud Security Architect.
- Ensure NIS2 compliance: IAM, backups, vulnerability management, documentation.
- Collaborate with cloud, security, identity, patching, backup, and vulnerability teams across international entities.
- Design secure, cost-optimised AWS solutions.
- Build new AWS DevSecOps capabilities using native AWS components.
Mandatory requirements
- Senior-level AWS Security expertise (hands-on, production environments)
- Experience with AWS modular architecture and design patterns
- Guardduty, Security Hub, AWS Backup, KMS & secrets, IAM / Privileged Access Management, AWS patching, vulnerability remediation
- Knowledge of NIS2 requirements
- Ability to secure AWS against DDoS, ransomware, and cloud threats
- AWS cost optimisation capability
- Full autonomy, immediate operational capability (no training)
Soft skills & languages
- Autonomous, solution-oriented, proactive
- Strong communication in English (mandatory)
- Comfortable in large, multicultural environments
