We are seeking a Data Solution Architect to help bring our data strategy to life within a Microsoft Azure ecosystem. You'll play a pivotal role in translating a defined data strategy into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals while remaining hands-on in the design and delivery process.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of architecture and execution, and who brings a strong background in financial services, ideally banking, where data accuracy, compliance, and resilience are critical.
Key responsibilities
- 
Design and implement end-to-end data solutions on Azure, leveraging services such as Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, and Purview 
- 
Translate the company's strategic data vision into practical architectures and actionable delivery plans 
- 
Build and optimize data pipelines, models, and integration frameworks to support analytics, AI, and reporting needs 
- 
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust data governance, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, BCBS 239) 
- 
Act as a hands-on technical leader, guiding engineering teams and ensuring best practices in performance, scalability, and maintainability 
- 
Continuously assess emerging technologies to enhance our data platform and architecture standards 
What we're looking for
- 
Proven experience as a Data Solution Architect or Senior Data Engineer/Architect in the financial sector (banking experience preferred) 
- 
Strong expertise in the Azure data ecosystem, including Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI, and related services 
- 
Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and modern data architectures (e.g., data lakehouse, data mesh) 
- 
Experience implementing data governance, lineage, and security frameworks in regulated environments 
- 
Hands-on technical ability combined with strong communication and stakeholder management skills 
-
