We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead strategic modernization initiatives within a large enterprise technology environment.
The organization operates a significant number of core systems on mainframe, which remain business-critical. Rather than replacing these systems entirely, the focus is on modernizing the application layer and development practices to enable greater agility, automation, and integration with modern platforms.
Responsibilities

Lead large-scale modernization projects within a mainframe-based ecosystem

Drive the modernization of applications and development workflows on mainframe platforms

Implement and oversee modern CI/CD practices in a legacy environment

Introduce and scale automation and AI-driven capabilities within development and operational processes

Coordinate with architecture, platform, and development teams to align modernization initiatives

Manage project scope, timelines, stakeholders, and delivery risks

Ensure modernization efforts integrate effectively with broader enterprise technology platforms
Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager in complex enterprise environments

Experience with mainframe ecosystems and modernization initiatives

Strong understanding of CI/CD, automation, and modern engineering practices

Ability to manage large-scale transformation projects involving legacy systems

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Fluent in English and either French or Dutch

Experience with mainframe modernization programs (application modernization, DevOps on mainframe, automation, etc.)
