In this role, you'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to build a green, reliable, and future-proof energy infrastructure that supports economic growth and reduces our ecological footprint.
⚙️ Your Mission
Belgium's road to carbon neutrality requires a major shift toward electrification.
But as project timelines grow and connection requests increase, grid capacity is becoming limited.
The goal of this mission is to rethink the current connection management framework, exploring new models used successfully in other European countries.
You'll lead a strategic program that includes:
- 🔹 Designing the overall strategic framework
- 🔹 Conducting internal and external interviews
- 🔹 Facilitating collaborative workshops
- 🔹 Setting up governance structures
- 🔹 Developing a concrete implementation plan
💡 Key Strategic Questions
- Can Belgium create a socially fair prioritization system for grid users (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels)?
- What's the most effective management model — centralized, decentralized, or hybrid?
- How can we balance national consistency with regional flexibility?

- 🔄 Revising the connection process to reflect the new framework
🧠 What We're Looking For
- ✅ Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- ✅ Fluent in Dutch, French, and English (spoken & written)
- ✅ Strong organizational and leadership skills
- ✅ Knowledge of the Belgian energy sector
- ✅ Autonomous, structured, and proactive approach
- ✅ Passion for navigating complex projects with multiple stakeholders
