The College of Europe is looking for an enthusiastic and committed ICT Officer - Media Systems & Operations (100% FTE), to join the ICT Office on the Bruges campus as soon as possible.

 

Your role

 

Based in Bruges, the ICT Officer - Media Systems & Operations will work under the direct supervision of the Director ICT Office and will be able to contribute to the support of users as well as the smooth running of all things related to multimedia and events.

 

The main duties and responsibilities of the ICT Officer - Media Systems & Operations

  • As a real helpdesk hero, you provide first-line support for various ICT questions, whether face-to-face, by phone or by e-mail, and towards staff, students and professors;
  • You take care of the technical preparation, supervision and completion of live events, including projection, sound, and video conferencing, possibly with some editing and post-production;
  • You manage and maintain media systems, peripherals and software;
  • You develop and provide training to users on ICT and multimedia tools.
  • You and configure client computers;
  • And of course, you nicely follow up on all reports, enthusiastically adjusting documentation and seeing where procedures could still get a top-up.

 

Your profile

 

For the position of ICT Officer - Media Systems & Operations, the College is looking for candidates with

  • A bachelor's degree, ideally in an ICT-related field;
  • Ideally, a first work experience in a similar role (or a genuine appetite to dive into this role as your first professional experience);
  • Excellent command of English and Dutch; knowledge of French is considered a plus;
  • A solid knowledge of ICT systems and multimedia tools such as Office 365, portables and smartphones, Adobe CC, video conferencing tools, etc., complemented by good, practical network knowledge;
  • A strong motivation and eagerness to learn, to be and stay up to date with the latest know-how in your field;
  •  A results-oriented, proactive and cooperative approach;
  • The ability to work autonomously and as a member of a diverse team;
  • Strong interpersonal, support and communication skills;
  • The willingness to occasionally work outside office hours, mainly at events.
