The project:
Our client in the insurance sector, is seeking an experienced Functional Designer to strengthen their team.
Main objectives:
- Be in charge of translating business requirements into a structured IT solution while keeping a functional approach.
- Help translating this functional design into well-tailored technical design.
- Prepare functional integration test cases based on the requirements
- Test the product before delivery to the users
- Analyse potential corrective actions to be taken.
- Coordinate technical designers and programmers during implementation of functionalities.
- Work closely with the business to ensure the final solution fits their needs.
- Actively support the Project leaders in the project implementation.
Is this you?
- Experience with Application Development of Administrative systems in an IT department
- Able to capture main topics in discussions with technical IT people
- Mastering of MS-office tools
- Strong understanding of Source code Cobol Microfocus and SQL server
- Web based Client/Server systems with MF back-end (Cobol Microfocus / SQL server)
- Batch process experience
- Cobol Microfocus / SQL server programming experience
- .NET ; SQL
- Functional analysis
- IT solution design on large scale projects
- Agile & Waterfall project methodology
- Architectural design
