Innova - Project Management Officer

PMO Consultant - strategic portfolio & program support

 

The Belgian public sector is undergoing a period of transformation—and you can be at the center of it. We're looking for an experienced PMO Consultant to support high-impact programs for a leading organization focused on public administration and digital services.

You'll be joining a team that ensures operational and strategic alignment across projects and programs. Your work will directly contribute to initiatives that optimize portfolio performance, enhance process governance, and support decision-making at all levels.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Support project management through financial oversight, governance, and process development
  • Approve project debriefs and business cases, ensuring compliance with company standards
  • Provide a consolidated view of all requests for stakeholders to enable informed decision-making
  • Ensure portfolio data coherence, identify anomalies, and coordinate with department leads
  • Perform quality checks on project-related documentation (Assessment Letters, Project Plans, Business Cases, Analysis Reports, End Project Reports)
  • Provide indicators for budgeting and financial monitoring in collaboration with Finance and HR
  • Implement and manage Demand Life Cycle, Project Life Cycle, and Development Life Cycle processes
  • Coach and support business stakeholders to comply with processes and use project tools effectively
  • Collect, validate, and analyze data to support reporting and decision-making
  • Apply lessons learned and implement continuous improvement practices

 

Requirements and skills

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in PMO, project management, or related roles
  • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques; experience with Jira a plus
  • Prince2, ITIL, or equivalent certification is a plus
  • Solid understanding of IT environments, business processes, and technical limitations
  • Strong analytical, tracking, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills
  • Coaching and training experience
  • Fluent in French and Dutch, with good knowledge of the other national language; English is a plus
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; continued technical education preferred

 

Location: Hybrid: Minimum 2 days/week on-site at HQ
