Job description
- Responsible to manage large and complex customer projects, to steer the virtual teams throughout the different departments (customer, partners, SpearIT).
- Responsible to ensure that the business or technical projects are delivered on -time, on-scope and on-budget through the use of the methodology while ensuring continuous alignment between the various stakeholders (internal and external SpearIT)
Scope Management
- At the project start, you ensure to get a clear understanding on the SpearIT solutions to implement. You setup and manage the project implementation team, composed by 'non-dedicated' resources and supported by Pre-sales, Account & Practice leads.
- You create and get approval on the detailed project plan, considering the customer expectations and the availability of SpearIT/partner resources. You guarantee the quality of the project deliverables and make sure that the project planning is respected by closely follow-up on the implementation and taking pro-active actions to avoid deviations.
- During the entire implementation phase, you act as main SpearIT point of contact for the customer as well as for the subcontractors and/or partners.You report on the progress by centralizing all relevant information and a to-the-point communication towards both your customer and your management.
- You chair SteerCo meeting and project progress meetings.
- You anticipate potential risks to avoid implementation issue throughout the entire project phase by taking appropriate actions within the SpearIT/partner organization and/or towards the customer.
- You are responsible for the financial result of the customer project by ensuring that the project remains within the agreed scope and is realized within the agreed SpearIT effort.
- Before project closure, you handover all relevant project information to the operational teams and get customer acceptance on the implemented solution.
- You support your Sales colleagues in strategic discussions with the customer
Profile Description
- Minimum 5 years proven experience as dedicated Project Manager in complex environments
- Linguistic skills : Dutch/French/English
- Proven successful management for multiple End-To-End major technical projects
- You understand technology and you are capable to explain technology in human language
- Familiar with Project Management methodologies PMI, Prince 2, Agile
- Familiar with Office Tools: Word, Excel, MS-Access, MS Project and PowerPoint
- Specific affinity with content in specific areas (technology/industry/...)
- Experience with frequent interactions with customers/management
- Proven leadership skills to manage effectively virtual project teams & multiple stakeholders in senior management positions
- Dealing with uncertainty and able to show expected composure in a continuous changing environment
- Dealing with ambiguity and conflict management
- Excellent organisational skills
