For our client in the energy sector, we are looking for a Solution Architect to join the IT Architecture department and support major transformation initiatives across Belgium and Germany.

What you'll do :
- You will play a key role in aligning business needs, architectural governance, and delivery teams to ensure coherent and future-proof solutions
- Analyze functional and non-functional requirements, constraints, and business capabilities
- Decompose business capabilities into relevant Solution Building Blocks using recommended architectural styles and reference architectures
- Design and adapt technical solutions that modernize the application landscape
- Deliver architecture designs in accordance with the organization's architecture vision, standards, and guidelines
- Provide expertise in integration design, application architecture, and available tooling
- Act as the key link between the Product Organization, Architecture teams, and Delivery teams
- Participate in the delivery process to ensure implementation aligns with the approved architecture
- Contribute to governance processes (Design Boards) and support decision-making using techniques such as ADR and ATAM
- Support transformation initiatives across multiple business units in Belgium and Germany
Profile / Requirements
Who you are :
You are an experienced Solution Architect with a strong technical background and the ability to translate business needs into robust, scalable architectural solutions. You are autonomous, result-oriented, and comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Additionally, you bring :
- At least 6 years of relevant experience as a Solution Architect
- Strong experience applying IT standards and methodologies such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, ATAM, and CBAM
- Familiarity with architecture modeling languages such as ArchiMate (experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect is a strong plus)
- Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Experience with modern architectural paradigms such as microservices and event-driven architectures
- An Agile mindset and experience working in Agile environments
- Strong collaboration skills and openness to peer feedback
- The ability to work autonomously and take initiative
- A continuous learning mindset and the ability to facilitate workshops and technical discussions
- Fluent English and German (mandatory - documentation and external meetings are conducted in these languages)
- Knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus
