For a customer in Ghent, I am searching for a freelance IT Support Engineer who can start immediately and provide assistance for 3-6 months improving their Windows environment. You'll provide direct user and server support, assist in system upgrades, and help streamline their Active Directory environment.
Responsibilities (short-term)
- Deployment of Windows 11 Pro on custom Hardware - 25 PCs
- Hardware replacements (GPU/Disk) - 50 PCs
- Daily onsite support for the team
Responsibilities (longer-term)
- Provide hands-on Windows user support across local and remote teams
- Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Servers to ensure system stability and performance
- Plan and execute Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations
- Conduct Active Directory maintenance and cleanup, improving security and organizational efficiency
- Collaborate with IT colleagues to document configurations, policies, and best practices
Profile
- Strong knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems
- Experience with Active Directory administration
- Understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, permissions, and group policies)
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with Azure AD or Office 365 administration
- Previous experience with Windows upgrade projects (Win10 → Win11)
