Isabel Group - Software Delivery Manager

Your role


As a Software Delivery Manager for our multibanking unit you will lead the software delivery function and manage a multi-skilled team covering a range of technologies. You will define and lead continuous improvement of delivery processes and drive innovation within the department. 

  • Personnel Development:
    • Diagnoses individual and group competence, identifying skill needs and skill gaps.
    • Reviews training and development options and selects appropriate methodology taking into account the individual, project and business requirements.
    • Coaches and/ or mentors individuals and teams to address learning needs. 
  • Agile Delivery Management:
    • Ensure a highly collaborative Agile environment that leverages a strong partnership between product management, product design & user experience, and software engineering & quality test engineering.
    • Help the team to set up their working practices, improve delivery efficiency and facilitate Agile ceremonies.
    • Ensure the team delivers the right thing at the right time.
    • Manage relationships with third party vendors and development houses to implement solutions and outsource development projects where it is considered beneficial to do so. 
  • Concertation Management:
    • Maintaining contacts with other managers.
    • Providing advice based on experience one's own discipline.
    • Taking part in the Core Management Group.
    • Reaching decisions based on concertation with other managers at operational level, beyond the limits of one's own department/business unit.
    • Align with Isabel group CTO office on best practices, tools and technology frameworks.
    • Establish a good working relationship between your teams and Isabel group support functions: architecture, devOps and it infrastructure. 
  • Budget Responsibility:
    • Drawing up the annual budget for the division and securing the approval of the Managing Director.
    • Carrying through best follow-up and optimized management of follow-up.
    • Controlling utilization of the budget.
    • Justifying investments by monitoring ROIs.
    • Carrying out internal reporting on expenditure outlay with respect to the budget drawn up. 
  • Innovation/development of best practices:
    • Support best practices by scouting and standardizing methods for novel ideas and insights
    • Develop skills of the department by training personnel on the skills they need, and develop and apply measures to track improvements in innovation and the skills underpinning them.
  • Support the activities and programs set up by the Isabel Group's innovation department.
  • Assure that the business unit teams contribute to the Isabel group communities of practice initiative where best practices are established at group level.


Your profile

  • Master degree or equivalent by experience
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English
  • At least 5 years in management roles related to IT Development in an Agile environment
  • Strong leadership skills to establish a vision and lead through influence
  • Innovative & strategic thinker
  • Agility to adjust rapidly to changing priorities
  • Strong ability to lead change
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to drive results by responding with a sense of urgency
