For a manufacturing customer in Limburg, I am searching for a freelance Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of a MES and a LIMS in the same application. This is a contract-based role for an external resource who will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the project—ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and meets all quality and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of the implementation, from initiation through deployment and closure.
- Report regularly to internal stakeholders, including project sponsors and steering committees.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including internal staff and external partners/vendors.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria aligned with business needs.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
- Apply deep understanding of manufacturing processes and MES tooling to guide implementation decisions.
- Ensure deliverables meet agreed standards and comply with relevant policies and procedures.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication across all project participants.
Profile
- Proven experience in leading MES/LIMS implementation projects in manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, workflows, and systems integration.
- Minimum 7 years of project management experience, preferably in IT or industrial automation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage external vendors and internal teams effectively.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or related field.
