Cronos International - Project Manager

In this position, the consultant will manage several projects for the European Institutions. One of them will be the evolution, maintenance, conception and development of IT projects at the European Parliament. He/she will be the interface between different clients and the technical team responsible for delivering the projects.

 

 

As work progresses on the different projects, the consultant will be focused on the followings, among others

  • Monitoring progress, initiate corrective action where necessary
  • Scope management; focus on what needs to be delivered and avoid distractions, roadblocks or gold plating
  • Tackle loosely defined requirements and focus on managing and limiting changing requirements while in the development phase; reaching the pre-agreed deadlines and avoid adding unnecessary risks
  • Maintaining an awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact
  • Risks and issues management - continuous follow-up of risks and issues; including mitigation actions and escalations if needed
  • Follow-up on all development progress on highlighted issues, by applying quality management principles and processes; validate results
  • Be a first point of contact and liaison between business, functional and IT teams
  • Plan and coordinate a portfolio of IT development projects in line with PMI methodology
  • Transversal role - coordinating several development teams, interacting with all involved parties on project issues and project progress and thus facilitating the communication between all stakeholders of the projects
  • Follow-up on the analysis and implementation process
  • Follow-up of change requests , tests, workloads, define and amend planning accordingly, perform risk management

 

Knowledge of the following tools and technologies is a strong advantage

 

PMI, Jira, Confluence, MS Project, UML, RUP, Enterprise Architecture
