afarax is looking for a freelance Data Engineer GIS. We need you!
The project:
Our client in the telecom sector, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer GIS to strengthen their team.
Main missions:
- Design, develop, and automate spatial data pipelines.
- Integrate and transform geospatial data using FME, Python, and R.
- Establish robust workflows to feed PostGIS and Oracle Spatial databases.
- Optimize data quality, performance, and governance.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure the reliability and availability of data flows
Is this you?
- Experience in GIS projects (at least 2-3 years)
- Fluent in French and English
- Strong proficiency in Python and R (ETL, data processing, visualization).
- Proven experience with FME (Safe Software).
- Solid skills in spatial databases (PostGIS, Oracle Spatial).
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and data architectures.
- Understanding of issues related to geospatial data.
- Development knowledge
