Our client is seeking a skilled Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric and DBT to design, build, and maintain scalable, analytics-ready data platforms. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who can also work independently to solve complex business use cases end to end.
Experience in the telecommunications industry, particularly exposure to RAN sharing environments, is a strong advantage.
Mission
- Design, build, document and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Data Engineering, Data Factory, OneLake, Lakehouse, and Warehouses).
- Ingest data from a variety of sources including APIs, relational databases, files, SaaS platforms, and telecommunications network systems.
- Develop and manage ELT transformations using dbt, including reusable models, tests, documentation, and data lineage.
- Implement medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) using Fabric and dbt best practices.
- Build robust, analytics-ready data models (facts, dimensions, marts) to support BI, operational reporting, and advanced analytics.
- Support telecommunications use cases, including network performance analysis, capacity tracking, cost allocation, and compliance reporting.
- Work with datasets related to RAN sharing, such as multi-operator performance metrics, shared asset utilization, and operator-level data segregation.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams while also owning and independently driving data solutions from problem definition through delivery.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control for data solutions.
- Ensure strong data governance, security, and access control, particularly in shared or multi-tenant data environments.
- Document architecture, pipelines, and business logic clearly for long-term maintainability.
Specific Expertise
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including:
o Fabric Data Engineering
o Lakehouse & Warehouse
o OneLake
o Data Pipelines / Data Factory
- Proven experience using dbt for analytics engineering and transformation-layer development.
- Advanced SQL skills for data transformation, modeling, and optimization.
- Experience with Spark (PySpark preferred).
- Solid understanding of ELT patterns, dimensional modeling, and data warehouse best practices.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD in data projects.
Profile
- You have an bachelor or master degree in IT/data/computer science (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum experience: 3 years in Data engineering in a modern IT environment

- You have excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to end user language.
- Comfortable working in agile, fast-paced environment
- Experience in a Telecom environment is certainly a big plus
- Experience with advanced analytics and/or AI is a plus as well
Languages
Good proficiency of English is a must, knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
