Embedded Software Engineer

We're partnering with an innovative technology company developing advanced networking and secure communication systems used across critical infrastructure and next-generation telecom environments.
As they continue to scale their embedded engineering team, they're looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to help build low-level software powering highly reliable connected devices and platforms.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on embedded Linux development, device-level software and performance-critical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain embedded software in C for Linux-based systems
- Work on low-level driver development and hardware interfacing
- Customize and maintain Embedded Linux distributions using Buildroot
- Collaborate with hardware, FPGA and systems engineering teams
- Debug, optimize and validate software performance on embedded targets
- Support integration of networking and cybersecurity-related features
- Participate in system architecture and technical decision-making
Requirements:
- Strong commercial experience with Embedded C development
- Experience working with Embedded Linux environments
- Hands-on driver development experience
- Good understanding of Buildroot and Linux system customization
- Familiarity with networking protocols or telecom systems is beneficial
- Experience debugging embedded systems at hardware/software level
- Comfortable working in a collaborative R&D environment
