Job description
Project Manager focused on workflows, data processing and exploitation of data in the context of drug discovery. Working closely with Scientists and Developers to enhance and maintain platforms and tools to support our pipeline
What you'll do
- Lead the management and enhancement of our existing NCE Compound Management software's solutions o Collect and communicate requirements and change requests o Prepare and execute user acceptance test plans o Oversee the delivery of the overall solution o Provide feedback on features and usability o Ensure that the necessary IT or Informatics tools and training are available to scientists. Write tutorials, examples, case studies. o Define and make sure the production monitoring processes are in place (support & maintenance)
- Influence the way scientists work in the lab, drive the team to design more productive and efficient processes
- Provide tactical solutions to project teams and functional groups that address specific data integration, data analysis or data interpretation needs
Profile
- Gather and formalize software requirements
- Provide domain expertise to software development teams in order to make sure deliveries fit with needs
- Kick off, oversee and monitor the developments as well as the acceptance tests
- Make sure all necessary production monitoring procedure (support, maintenance) and plans are in place
- Ensure that the necessary IT and Informatics tools and training are available to scientists, so that they understand and realize the potential contribution of our IT systems
- Deliver guidance as well as tactical data management solutions to the scientist so as to improve operations and decision making processes
- Build proposals to enhance the technical landscape with a focus on small molecule drug discovery within New Medicines
Required Skills
- 3+ years experience within the bio-pharma sector
- Ability to work with a wide variety of scientists across two sites (will require international travel)
- Experience in the large multi-site multi-disciplinary IT project
- Experience with outsourced processes & external collaborations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exposure to lab robotics & automation
- Foundation in life science drug discovery
- Solid foundation in logistics and drug discovery systems
