We are looking for an IT Security & System Engineer to strengthen our infrastructure team. In this role, you will design, implement and maintain secure, reliable and scalable IT systems. You will be a trusted point of contact for colleagues, providing timely and accurate technical and security-related solutions to support daily operations and long-term initiatives.
Your responsibilities
- 🔐 Security-by-design & architecture:
- Design robust, secure system architectures and ensure security principles are Embedded in all infrastructure projects
- Contribute to cloud security, identity protection and compliance efforts
- ⚙️ automation & infrastructure engineering:
- Leverage automation and orchestration tools to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks
- Manage on-premise and cloud environments (Microsoft 365 / Azure)
- 🛡️ Cybersecurity, SIEM & SOC Operations:
- Oversee vulnerability management and structured patch governance
- Manage IAM and privileged access controls
- Implement EndPoint, server and network security hardening
- Monitor security logs, tune SIEM alerts and collaborate with SOC teams
- Participate in incident detection, analysis, response and post-incident improvements
- Support compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, NIS2...)
- 🧩 DevSecOps & continuous improvement:
- Integrate security controls into infrastructure and delivery pipelines
- Help enhance the overall security posture with a proactive mindset
- 📉 Incident response & business continuity:
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies
- Conduct root cause analyses and propose strategic improvements
- 📅 Project Management: Plan and steer infrastructure/security initiatives, ensuring secure and timely delivery
Your profile
- 🎓 Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Engineering or Cybersecurity
- 🧩 Minimum 4 years of experience as a System, Infrastructure or Security Engineer
- 💡 strong knowledge of:
- Windows, Linux or AIX
- Virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V)
- Networking (routing, switching, VLANs, Firewalls)
- Microsoft 365 administration (Azure AD / Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online)
- SQL databases (Oracle/MySQL)
- Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Cybersecurity frameworks, IAM, EDR, SIEM and monitoring tools
- Backup and disaster recovery principles
- 🗣️ Fluent in French and Dutch English is a plus
- 🧠 Problem solver, critical thinker, with a strong sense of ownership
