For a major insurance transformation programme, we are looking for an experienced freelance Business Analyst with Insurance Package Implementation experience to join a greenfield Guidewire Cloud implementation within Commercial Insurance.
The client is looking to onboard Business Analysts across both the PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter implementation teams.
The Business Analyst will work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, Solution Architects, and development teams to ensure business requirements are translated into effective Guidewire solutions.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
- Facilitate workshops with business users and subject matter experts.
- Elicit and challenge requirements to ensure clarity and completeness.
- Create user stories, process maps, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Support the design of PolicyCenter or ClaimCenter solutions.
- Perform gap analysis between current and future state processes.
- Work with Solution Architects and developers to refine functional requirements.
- Support data migration, integration, and testing activities where required.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate delivered functionality.
- Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within insurance transformation programmes.
- Experience with Guidewire or another insurance package implementation.
- Strong understanding of insurance business processes, ideally across policy, claims, billing, or underwriting.
- Experience writing user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum or SAFe delivery frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication skills in complex delivery environments.
