As IT Workplace Engineer M365, you become part of the IT Workplace team and help shape and continuously improve our modern workplace ecosystem.

You play a key role in managing and evolving four core domains: Identity, Microsoft 365 Collaboration, EndPoint Management, and Workplace Security & Operations.

This role is ideal for an experienced Microsoft 365 professional who wants to contribute to a modern enterprise workplace and enjoys combining technical depth with governance, collaboration and continuous improvement.

 

 

Function

  • You manage and optimize Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Conditional Access and identity governance processes to ensure secure and reliable access management.
  • You own and further develop the Microsoft 365 collaboration environment, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and related services.
  • You own the SharePoint Online platform, including tenant configuration and site provisioning, and work closely with the Information & Knowledge Architect to ensure a structured and effective information architecture.
  • You administer and optimize Microsoft Intune for device management, compliance, application deployment and EndPoint lifecycle management.
  • You manage the Power Platform tenant and collaborate closely with the Workplace Intelligent Automation Engineer to enable secure, scalable and well-governed automation solutions.
  • You contribute to workplace automation, standardization and operational excellence across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • You maintain workplace security controls, including EndPoint hardening, patch management and vulnerability remediation.
  • You act as a second- and third-line escalation point for complex Microsoft 365 and workplace-related issues.
  • You collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects and IT colleagues to continuously improve the employee digital workplace experience.
  • You contribute to platform governance, operational standards, documentation, runbooks and best practices across the Workplace domain.
  • After 6 months, you will join the on-call rotation, maximum 1 week/month.
  • As an IT Workplace Engineer M365 you will report to the IT Workplace Manager.

 

Your profile

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Applied Informatics, Computer Science or a related field and have at least five years of experience as an IT Workplace Engineer M365 or in a comparable function within an international organisation.
  • You have strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory and identity & access management, and understand how to build secure and scalable workplace environments.
  • You have hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 technologies such as SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Intune and the Power Platform, and are familiar with governance and lifecycle management best practices.
  • You have a solid understanding of workplace security, including Zero Trust principles, EndPoint management, vulnerability remediation and Microsoft security solutions.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Copilot governance is a strong asset.
  • You are analytical, customer-focused and eager to drive continuous improvement.
  • You communicate effectively in Dutch and English. A good working knowledge of French is a plus.
