People & Technology - Life Analyst

As the customer's Data Analyst in the Life Transformation Program, you interpret data and turn it into information which can offer ways to improve the business, thus affecting business decisions. You will gather information from various sources and interpret patterns and trends - as such your job does highlight the analytical nature of your role. Once data has been gathered and interpreted, you will report back what has been found in a comprehensive study to the wider business, IT and architecture colleagues.



Data Analyst duties and responsibilities of the job


You will often make recommendations about the methods and ways in which our company obtains and analyses data to improve quality and the efficiency of data systems. Your job will  include, but is not limited to

  • Collecting and interpreting data, as well in Mainframe as in Linux systems
  • Analyzing results of possible transformation
  • Reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business, IT and architecture and explain it from different perspectives
  • Identifying patterns and trends in data sets
  • Working alongside teams within the business or the architecture team to establish business needs
  • Defining new data collection and analysis processes



  • Language:
    • NL : mother tongue
    • FR : understanding
    • EN : fluent speaking, reading and writing
  • Must have:
    • Level Master informatica or equal by experience
    • Knowledge and experience as data analyst or Functional Analyst (min 3 year)
    • Knowledge and experience in insurance, domain Life (min. 3 year)
    • Knowledge of the MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, ...)
    • Experience in data models and reporting packages
    • Ability to analyse large datasets
    • Ability to write comprehensive reports
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
    • Stress resistant, flexible and multitasking and able to adapt in a continue changing environment
    • Organizational skills
    • Be able to work independent
    • Team player
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience with Scrum
    • Knowledge of Prince2
    • Experience with Enterprise Architect
    • Experience with Jira
    • Knowledge of working in a broker/bank environment/agency
