Role Summary
The Solution Lead acts as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions, functioning as a citizen developer. This role is responsible for defining, developing, and
maintaining tools and dashboards - primarily using Power BI - to support data-driven decision-making. The initial data sources will include SAP and SharePoint lists, with
potential expansion as the data landscape evolves.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Understanding and Translating business needs into actionable requirements
2. Designing and implementing data collection and analytics tools
3. Building and maintaining Power BI dashboards with as main sources SAP and SharePoint lists in the first instance
4. Documenting technical specifications for IT handover and maintenance
5. Managing development backlogs and prioritization
6. Supporting change management and adoption of new data practices
Major Accountabilities
- Understanding and translating the business needs into actionable requirements
- Confirming feasibility of requirements
- Prioritizing the requirements, including change requests management
- Developing tools for generating data when needed
- Developing data management processes when needed
- Developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting tools and dashboards (Power BI) facilitating decision making
- Writing technical documentation for developed tools and dashboards
- Managing access rights to tools and dashboards
- Closely collaborating with the Project Core Team and act as SPOC for IT stakeholders (IT Engineering, IT infrastructure, IT Patient Supply, ...)
- Guiding the Data Experts in data investigation and validation
- Handing over tools and dashboards once standardized
- Supporting the definition and set up of Enterprise Asset Management systems
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including demos and training
Education & Qualification
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent relevant experience
- Certification (nice to have): PowerBI, Business Intelligence related, Project Management
- Experience: minimum 5 years of in relevant role
- Other: knowledge of EAM tools (nice to have)
Competencies
- Strong data analytics and visualization skills
- Expertise in Power BI
- Knowledge of SAP analysis
- Basic coding knowledge (e.g. VBA, PowerApps)
- Familiarity with SharePoint and business process understanding
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Problem-solving and adaptability in a dynamic environment
