For our client in Mechelen we are looking for an automation tester.
Tasks and responsibilities of this role
- Test automation development
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Tosca.
- Integrate Tosca test scripts with the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing. (Azure DevOps)
- Create reusable and modular test components to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
- Test planning and execution
- Execute automated test cases and analyze results to identify defects and ensure quality.
- Perform regression testing to validate bug fixes and new features.
- Collaboration and communication
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to understand testing requirements and provide feedback on application functionality.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Report test results, track defects, and provide regular updates on testing activities to stakeholders.
- Tool and process improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in test automation and Tosca.
You must have sufficient skills to fulfill these responsibilities. The following skills are critical
Hard skills
- Proficient in using Tosca for test automation, including creating and managing test cases, test data, and test execution
- Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, VBScript) is a plus
- Familiarity with Version Control systems like GIT
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC)
Soft skills

Preferred qualifications
- Certification in Tosca
