Context
The mission is to support the quality assurance of several IT applications by writing test plans, preparing test data, executing manual and automated tests, following up defects, and contributing to the decision to move applications from test to acceptance environments. The consultant will work closely with developers, the project leader, and the IT Application Manager, who will manage planning and task allocation.
Responsibilities
- Write test plans and test scenarios based on existing documentation and functionalities.
- Recommend tests to execute based on acceptance criteria, user stories, and identified risks.
- Cover functional, non-functional, integration, and non-regression testing.
- Prepare or select appropriate test data before test execution.
- Execute test scenarios and document results with evidence such as logs and screenshots.
- Select relevant test cases for automation in coordination with the team.
- Implement, maintain, and regularly execute automated test suites.
- Report, follow up, and document defects in bug-tracking tools.
- Update and maintain test documentation with test results.
- Support the team in reaching the required quality level before deployment to acceptance.
- Reproduce defects found in acceptance or production environments.
Technical skills
Must have
- Proven experience in test plan, test design, and test scenario writing.
- Strong experience in test automation and/or tangible programming or scripting experience, such as Python.
- Consistent knowledge of performance testing.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and associated queries.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Strong English knowledge, as documentation and team communication are in English.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Critical mindset and ability to challenge.
- Ability to understand simple technical IT concepts such as client/server applications, web services, APIs, protocols, frontend, and backend.
Should have
- Experience with Playwright.
- Experience with Robot Framework.
- Knowledge of French and/or Dutch.
- Pragmatic, result-driven, resilient, and creative mindset.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of RabbitMQ.
- Experience with DevOps tickets.
- Security testing experience.
