Senior Functional Analyst - brussels (belgium) - permanent position
We're currently recruiting for a Senior Functional Analyst to join the software delivery team within the digital security sector.
This role is ideal for a professional who combines strong business analysis expertise with a solid understanding of IT systems and software development processes.
You will play a key role in bridging business needs and technical delivery, ensuring that secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions are delivered.
Key responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering and analysis activities across complex software delivery projects
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define, document, and validate business and functional requirements
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and process models
- Develop and maintain process diagrams using BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation)
- Work closely with development, QA, and architecture teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly
- Support agile delivery practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for process improvement within digital security solutions
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the digital security domain
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle
Required skills & experience
- Proven experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst in software delivery projects
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with BPMN for process modelling
- Solid background in IT and software development environments (e.g., Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies)
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into structured, actionable documentation
- Experience working on systems related to digital security, cybersecurity, identity management, or data protection is highly desirable
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
