One of the strategic axes within is to improve the data governance of the enterprise, through the
EDM program. The IT department supports this strategy with its data platform, and the setup of
MDM and data catalog tooling. On the other hand, in the prudential domain has the strategic objective “Becoming a Digital
Supervisor” by enabling the digital transformation of the business domain prudential supervision.
Organization
-
Both above objectives are supported by modern cloud technology. Depending on the process or
application, could decide to do rethink the whole setup do a complete cloud-native rewrite or to go
for a more limited refabric of an application.
-
In collaboration with the enterprise architects responsible for those domains, the Solution Architect
will work with product managers, product owners, project teams, the IT teams (e.g.: IT architects,
infrastructure team, cloud team, data team) to deliver solution architectures according to
architecture standards and frameworks, both data-driven as well as application-oriented
architecture.
-
The Solution Architect is delivery oriented and ensures that intermediate states and final state of the
solution architecture are clearly defined and shared with relevant stakeholders. More specifically,
the Solution Architect will propose solutions and deliver high-level architecture documents, detailed
architecture specifications.
Function
The Solution Architect is expected to:
- Gain knowledge on the business domains in which transitions take place: data governance, statistics, studies, management of micro data and prudential supervision
- Develop a network of contacts within the IT department
- Join project teams or product teams as a team member
- Provide project managers and product owners, project teams with concrete solution architecture
- Ensure that all proposed solutions are in line with the reference architecture, encompassing the business strategy and the IT strategy
- Monitor implementation of proposed solutions and address possible deviations.
- Understanding of enterprise data management concepts: Knowledge of Enterprise Data Management, Master Data Management patterns, and Data-mesh architecture.
- Understanding of application design concepts: Knowledge of application design, application centric vs data centric architectures and knowing when to apply which.
- Experience with Azure components: Skills with tools such as Azure Fabric, Data Factory, Datalake Storage, Azure Keyvault, Azure Container Applications, Azure SQL, etc.
- Experience with the Databricks environment and the Delta Lake framework is needed.
-
Experience from missions in similar domains for companies of comparable size preferably in the
financial and/or public sector will be considered a plus.
