At Approach, we organize and share our expertise and knowledge per communities. Depending on your profile, you will contribute to one or several “Practices”: Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Cyber-Security and Secure Delivery.

 

 

Your Role

 

In the context of our fast-growing company, we are looking for  DPO &/or GDPR Consultants to integrate our GRC practice.

You will take part in stimulating consulting assignments and your main tasks will include:

  • Representing Approach and delivering high standard quality deliverables
  • As DPO : Provide high value services to customers in the light of Approach's DPO as a Service offering/business:
    • Acting as Data Privacy Officer (DPO) for our clients, reporting into their highest management level
    • Overall advise on data privacy
    • Participate in the development of Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA) and supervise their implementation
    • Monitor compliance with the GDPR
    • Participate in GDPR compliance audits
    • Train employees involved in processing operations
    • Serve SPOC (Single Contact) for the Data Protection Authority (DPA)
    • Consult the Apd appropriately 

AND / OR:

 

As GRC/GDPR consultant:

  • Bring high value solutions to customers in the area of GRC (Business Continuity, Information Security and Risk Mgt, Data Privacy, ...)
  • Delivering GRC solutions in the various lifecycles of the engagement (assessment, project, or as a service)
  • Actively participating in the development of a GRC solution offering 
  • Developing or improving GRC assets and contributing to the writing of resources and whitepapers
  • Sharing knowledge and actively contributing to GRC team meetings
  • Bringing a positive and “can do” attitude and energy to the team

 

Your Responsibilities

 

Your role will consist of several activities, among which:

  • Actively participating in the development of a GRC solution offering
  • Develop your competencies and level of expertise by a continuous and ongoing progression and active participation in training sessions
  • Acquire the fundamentals of the consulting role regarding analytical capacity, ability to see the overall picture, both written and oral expression
  • You are recognised by the client as being professional in your own area of expertise
  • Demonstrate your capability to work in a team and portray a positive attitude
  • Respect the confidentiality of both client and company information
  • You are recognised as being trustworthy by your project leader or client: precision of information, respect of the commitments, quality of the work, respect the deadlines, adequate reporting, ...
  • Capitalise on the experience acquired within the Practice
  • Utilise or learn the tools or methodologies of the Practice and actively contribute to the development of these tools and methodologies

 

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5-10 Years' Professional Experience, minimum 2 demonstrable in Information Security and/or Risk Management
  • Data Privacy Officer certification at a renowned organisation such as IAPP, Solvay Brussels School, IT governance, Data Protection Institute, PECB or Kluwer
  • A pragmatic leader
  • Used to work with Senior management (strategic level)
  • Good understanding of ISO27000 standards
  • Good understanding of Information Risk Management and methods
  • Strong understanding of control standards and objectives
  • Ability to monitor security processes and control
  • Ability to implement and monitor security processes and controls
  • Knowledge of Network, Data, System and Application Security Architecture
  • Knowledge of Data Protection technologies and how they link to Data Privacy
  • Manage diverse workloads and prioritize accordingly
  • Contributed in the implementation or operation of management systems
  • Exposure to risk assessments as assessor or contributor
  • Exposure to security audit, as Auditor, auditee, remediation owner
  • Exposure to (security) incident response and crisis management
