We are currently looking for a freelance Security Architect to join our client's internal security team.

Location: Flexible Remote Work / Candidates from Belgium or Remote from other EU
Context
You'll be Embedded in the client's application security team, a small, focused group responsible for
- Security testing
- Architecture reviews
- Threat modeling
- Cloud security posture management
Your role
As a Security Architect within the client's organization, you will
- Conduct security architecture reviews to ensure solutions align with established security requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams across the organization to provide security guidance
- Configure and manage SaaS security solutions and triage security alerts
- Help design and execute the cloud security roadmap, with a particular focus on Azure
- Participate in team meetings and support risk-based security decisions
Key requirements
Must-haves
- 8+ years in security architecture and cloud security (strong mediors may be considered)
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud security solutions
- Solid understanding of ISO/IEC 27001 compliance frameworks
- Proven ability to work independently in large, complex enterprise environments
- Fluent in English (French/Dutch is a plus)
Nice-to-haves
- Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, etc.)
- Familiarity with Sonatype, Jfrog, Fedramp, or Pipa compliance
- Experience integrating or configuring security tools in CI/CD environments
