- Maintain and optimize the execution environment, including Windows-based systems and Dockerized components.
- Ensure the automation platform remains stable, scalable, and well-maintained as it grows.
- Collaborate closely with business teams to understand taxation processes, identify exceptions, and adapt automation accordingly.
- Apply good governance and auditability principles (traceability, structured logs, data minimization, secure access).
- Document your work clearly to support long-term sustainability and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to team best practices.
Your Profile
- Experience with scripting and automation (Python or similar languages).
- Up to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with React or another modern front-end framework for dashboard-style interfaces.
- Knowledge of Docker and workflow scheduling/orchestration concepts.
- Comfortable working in Windows-based automation environments.
- Solid understanding of software maintenance practices (version control, testing, CI/CD).
- Exposure to automation in tax, finance, or accounting contexts is a strong advantage.
- Able to manage tasks and small projects end-to-end with a product-oriented mindset.
- Strong understanding of workflows, process controls, and data handling constraints.
- Awareness of governance, compliance, and audit-related requirements.
- Very good communication skills in English, plus French or Dutch at professional level.
- Collaborative, structured, and able to work autonomously.
What You Can Expect
- A full-time hybrid position located in Flemish Brabant.
- The opportunity to contribute to automation solutions with real impact on tax operations.
- A competitive salary and benefits package.
- A role blending engineering, process optimization, and collaboration with domain experts.
- An open and supportive work environment valuing initiative, transparency, and quality.
- Close interaction with both technical and operational teams, giving your work clear visibility.
