Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, setup, and optimization of Cosmos DB environments for production and non-production use.
- Collaborate with project teams to define and implement database architecture, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.
- Develop and maintain Terraform scripts and automation tools for environment provisioning
- Ensure compliance with internal technical standards, naming conventions, and security protocols
- Provide incident and change management support during go-live and stabilization phases
- Deliver hands-on training sessions and create documentation to upskill team members on Cosmos DB operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Act as a liaison between development, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure smooth integration and knowledge transfer.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience with Azure Cosmos DB, including MongoDB and SQL APIs.
- Strong understanding of Request Units (RU), indexing policies, and schema-agnostic design
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Terraform, and cloud-native deployment practices.
- Ability to interpret and apply naming conventions and governance standards in enterprise environments
- Experience in training and mentoring technical teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred candidates would also meet the following criteria:
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Cosmos DB Developer Specialty
