Data Quality Analyst - Brussels
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Freelance Contract: 30/03/2026- 18/12/2026
Occasional (rare trips to Paris)

We are seeking a Senior Data Quality Analyst to join a leading international financial institution.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of financial and ALM (Asset & Liability Management) data, supporting critical reporting systems and decision-making processes.
Your Responsibilities:
- Analyse and improve data quality controls for financial and ALM data
- Understand and map data flows from operational systems to reporting tools
- Investigate data anomalies and identify root causes
- Define and implement remediation action plans
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements for IT teams
- Contribute to data governance and control frameworks
- Participate in testing phases and validate system outputs
- Develop and enhance dashboards and KPI monitoring tools (Tableau)
- Document processes, solutions, and best practices
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Finance, ALM, and IT
- Contribute to data quality initiatives and communities
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management (or equivalent experience
- Minimum 6 years' experience in a similar role within a financial institution
- Strong background in Data Quality Analysis and ALM processes
- SQL, Excel, Access
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Nice to have: Business Objects, Cognos & Experience with financial systems (e.g., OFS or similar)
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Solution-oriented with a proactive attitude
- Highly organised, structured, and autonomous
