We are looking for a DBA for our customer located in Brussels:
Responsibilities
Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance: Install, configure, upgrade, administer, monitor, and maintain Interparking databases (mainly Microsoft SQL Server, and some PostgreSQL).
Incident Management: Respond to and resolve database-related incidents and service requests, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis for database-related issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Performance Optimization: Monitor database activity and resource usage, optimize database performance, and plan for forecast resource needs.
Documentation and Standards: Draft and maintain procedures and documentation for databases. Manage database configuration, including installing and upgrading software, and maintain relevant documentation. Contribute to the setting of standards for the definition, security, and integrity of database objects and ensure conformance to these standards.
Problem Investigation and Reporting: Use database management system software and tools, and knowledge of logical database schemata, to investigate problems, collect performance statistics, and create reports.
Routine Configuration: Carry out routine configuration/installation and reconfiguration of database and related products.
Cloudification: Support the cloudification of the database landscape, including database deployment on Microsoft Azure.
Experience
- You have at least 5 years of practical experience in Database administration (MSSQL)
- You have a proven track record of database deployment on Microsoft Azure
