Role overview
We are looking for a Data Engineer to support the corporate Digital & Data department. The department's mission is to enable data-driven decision-making across the business by developing a robust and scalable data platform.
You'll work in a dynamic, agile environment as part of a product team delivering data solutions and features, not just technical components. Your work will directly support efforts to improve the quality of data and services across the enterprise.
You'll collaborate with stakeholders across departments, contributing to a shared platform that includes
- A cutting-edge data integration and analytics environment
- Business Intelligence and Storage solutions
- Master data management
- Data governance frameworks (data lineage, quality, glossary, etc.)
This is a hands-on role with the potential to make a meaningful impact on product and customer outcomes by enhancing the way data is created, managed, and consumed.
Your key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using Azure technologies (e.g., Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Functions, Stream Analytics, DevOps)
- Create efficient Storage solutions and materialized views for analytics workloads
- Develop data exchange endpoints and integrate data governance tools (lineage, glossary, quality, modeling)
- Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements and design reusable, coherent data solutions
- Ensure strong testing coverage and DevOps practices
- Contribute to high-quality documentation and knowledge sharing
- Engage with peers to continuously improve and challenge the status quo, thinking enterprise-wide, beyond silos
Profile requirements
- Experience: 3+ years in a similar role
- Technical skills:
- Strong SQL experience (preferably with SQL Server)
- Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Stream/Log Analytics
- Python for data transformation
- Power BI
- Languages: Fluent in English (mandatory). Knowledge of German, French, or Dutch is a plus.
