Overview
The organization is looking for a Test Manager responsible for defining and implementing testing strategies and practices across a portfolio of digital initiatives. This role ensures that testing approaches support the delivery of high-quality solutions within a scaled agile environment and across multiple platforms.
The department is undergoing a transformation toward agile and DevOps ways of working. As part of this evolution, the testing strategy must continuously adapt to support cross-team collaboration, end-to-end testing, and hybrid delivery models combining agile and sequential approaches.
The Test Manager will lead testing governance, coordinate testing activities across teams, and guide test professionals involved in the delivery of strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities

Define and maintain overarching test strategies in collaboration with test specialists across multiple agile teams.

Manage testing activities across the initiative portfolio, including test methodology definition, planning, and execution oversight.

Perform intake and high-level assessment of new initiatives, working closely with delivery leadership and key stakeholders.

Oversee cross-platform testing strategies for initiatives delivered within the department as well as contributions to broader organizational programs.

Provide guidance and support to testing teams to ensure alignment with quality standards and delivery objectives.

Motivate, coach, and assess the performance of test analysts and test engineers across the teams.

Contribute to the development and optimization of the testing resource pool, including capability development.

Support planning activities related to testing capacity and resource utilization.

Lead the definition, implementation, and continuous improvement of agile testing practices.

Ensure the adoption of testing standards, best practices, and quality frameworks across the teams.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders across different business and technology domains, as well as with external partners and vendors where applicable.

Define testing scope and approach for initiatives, ensuring delivery within quality, timeline, and budget objectives, while managing associated risks.

Contribute to maintaining the reliability and continuity of critical digital services through effective testing governance.

Provide tactical direction and medium-term planning (6-12 months) for testing activities supporting delivery goals.

Make decisions within the defined quality strategy and governance framework.
Qualifications
Experience
-
5+ years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance

Experience in test management across cross-functional and multi-platform projects

Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments

Experience leading or coaching testing teams (both direct and virtual)

Experience working with distributed or offshore teams is a plus
