For a global customer providing services in over 150 countries, we are searching for a freelance DevOps Engineer to support several teams for infrastructure and platform operations.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and solving automation/monitoring faults
- Design and advice on best practices
- Creating and maintaining internal alerting rules
- Creating work instructions, documentation and procedures
- Automate the daily work where possible
- Actively contribute to the migration of legacy tooling and environment, but also to new projects delivery
Profile
- A no-nonsense IT engineer with all-round IT-interests always willing to go the extra mile, delivering accuracy and security in the work performed
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, Ansible and Docker containers
- Knowledge or interested in monitoring tools in general, such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana
- Understanding monitoring concepts through SNMP or API
- Hands-on experience of network & security related technologies is a plus
- Experience with database technologies, ideally PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB
- Good administrative skills with a strong eye for detail
- Being certified as Zabbix specialist or professional is a plus
