This opportunity is for the role of Scrum Master within the RTC squad of the DataHub Tribe. The RTC squad is dedicated to fulfilling data needs related to Retail Customer and Channel insights. The squad's technology landscape goes from traditional Business Intelligence (Oracle, Informatica, Tableau) as well as Big Data solutions and Mainframe environments. As Scrum Master, you will serve as the cornerstone of projects following agile frameworks, especially the Scrum methodology. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that the project team fully understands and applies agile principles, maximizing project outcomes. You will help shield the team from both internal and external distractions, guiding them toward effective collaboration and delivery. The Scrum Master also coaches the team, business lines, and stakeholders on best practices, clarifying supportive and non-supportive interactions with the team. In addition to these responsibilities, the Scrum Master also assumes the role of Feature Delivery Owner. This means being accountable for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of features, ensuring alignment between the squad's objectives and business priorities, and driving progress from ideation through to deployment. By wearing both hats, the Scrum Master not only fosters agile ways of working but also ensures that feature commitments are delivered on time and with the expected quality.
Key responsibilities
- Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Planning sessions, Retrospectives, as well as other essential meetings.
- Plan and manage the progression of the methodology, ensuring key steps are followed and the team meets project milestones.
- Resolve obstacles that may hinder the squad's ability to deliver, and help maintain smooth operation of the Scrum methodology.
- Support the Product Owner with Product Backlog management and assist the team in achieving the Definition of Done (DoD), maintaining the Sprint Backlog, and tracking progress using capacity and velocity metrics.
- Coach and challenge the team, promoting self-organization and removing barriers to effectiveness, while protecting them from outside interruptions.
- Act as an ambassador for agile methods within the organization, reporting to management on the status of Scrum deployment and managing risks and issues as they arise.
- Coordinate and participate in project delivery follow-up activities, including Scrum of Scrums, to ensure alignment, transparency, and timely resolution of cross-team dependencies.
Your profile
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required
- A sound knowledge of at least one local language is very appreciated.
- Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent by experience.
- Required Experience and Knowledge: At least six years of relevant experience is mandatory.
- Technical Experience:
- Proficiency in agile reporting and follow-up tools (e.g., Rally, Jira).
- Understanding of tools for automated unit testing, automated functional testing, and continuous integration (nice to have).
- Strong knowledge of project management methodology.
- Business Experience: Expertise in agile methodologies and techniques, (e.g. Scrum, Kanban...).
