What you'll do
- Integrate client's requirements (e.g. new features, bug fixing, build adapters) to the open-source framework Powsybl
- Support in the internal development of Grid analysis tools (e.g. Topology Optimizer, Voltage Optimizer) within client
- Work on combining open-source topology and redispatch optimization tools
- Adapt Openrao to the needs of client
- Knowledge on Grid models is required (Cgmes, Uct)
- Carrying out benchmarks to identify bottlenecks and for quantitative evaluation
- Work with network data to ensure the applicability of these methods in practice
- Align self-developed load flow tools with the production systems currently in use
- Support your colleagues with your electrical engineering expertise
- (Optional) scientific publication of the knowledge gained
What you bring
- Good Electrical engineering knowledge focus load flow computations / Grid data
- Strong knowledge on coding language Java, Python
- Knowledge in Milp/Quality-Diversity /general non-convex optimization
- Plus: Knowledge of parallel programming patterns and massively-parallel Hardware (GPUs)
- Experience in the development of the open-source framework Powsybl
- Experience in modeling energy systems
- Strong academic background in electrical engineering
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, data science, engineering, informatics, or similar is a plus
- Fluent in English. Additional language skills in German, Dutch or French is a plus
- Experience: at least three years +
- Good communication skills
