Mission description
- The expert will be responsible for various activities such as infrastructure engineering on servers, level 3/4 support, consulting, and technology watch.
- He/She must have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Server operating systems (Windows Server 202x...), Broadcom VMware Virtualization (vSphere, Aria Suite...), as well as Cloud concepts with AWS & Azure providers.
- Engineering: Systems engineering is a methodological approach encompassing the full lifecycle of design, evolution, and implementation of systems aimed at delivering efficient and cost-effective solutions to clients.
- Engineering activities within the team are broken down as follows:
- Mastery of Virtualization concepts and OS master build (Windows Server, VMware, ...)
- Acting as a technical reference point
- Writing and updating installation, operation, and urbanization procedures
- Contributing to process simplification and infrastructure optimization
- Operations continuity (Mco) and technology watch
- Ensuring service security (GPO, DRP, resilience, ...)
- Infrastructure & activity monitoring through KPIs
- Studies and analysis
- Scripting:
- PowerShell, PowerCLI
- VMware Scripts
- Infrastructure-as-Code (JSON, Python, ...)
- Grafana
- Consulting / project support:
- These activities consist of participating in projects by bringing expertise, advice, and recommendations for the implementation of solutions.
- Contribute to “Build” activities (Pre-Sales, needs assessment, ...)
- Recommend technical solutions to meet project needs
- Propose, understand, and validate the technical solutions to be implemented
- Support Project Managers / Architects throughout all phases of a new need and during the entire project execution
- Carry out all infrastructure build operations within the framework of projects
- Train, support, and hand over to operators for the exploitation of systems built by the expert
- support / expertise:
- The expert will be required to handle complex incident resolution and contribute to analyzing root causes of incidents.
- Manage and collaborate on incident/problem resolution involving multiple domains of expertise (Network, Storage, Backup, ...
- Support operators in handling level 3/4 incidents
- Act as the liaison with solution vendors (Hardware/software)
- Technology watch:
- This activity consists of staying alert to solutions that can improve systems management.
- The expert will also be expected to actively contribute by proposing new solutions to study/test and by helping to define future technology directions.
