Overview
Our client, a leading European Life Sciences & Healthcare organisation, is embarking on a large-scale IT, Cloud & Business Transformation Programme aimed at modernising core business applications, streamlining operational processes, and accelerating their cloud journey.
As the programme enters a critical delivery phase, they are looking for a highly hands-on Senior Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving requirements definition, process optimisation, and transformation initiatives across multiple workstreams.
This is not a documentation-only role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being embedded within the business, challenging existing ways of working, facilitating workshops, and actively shaping future-state solutions.
Responsibilities
- Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand current-state processes and system landscapes.
- Lead requirements gathering workshops across multiple departments.
- Analyse and document complex business processes, identifying inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Develop current-state and future-state process maps.
- Define and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business requirements into actionable functional specifications.
- Work closely with solution architects, developers, project managers and integration teams throughout project delivery.
- Support cloud migration and application transformation initiatives.
- Conduct gap analyses between legacy systems and future-state solutions.
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment and decision-making workshops.
- Support testing activities including UAT planning, execution and defect management.
- Track requirements through implementation to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across business and technology functions.
Required Experience
- 7+ years' experience as a Business Analyst within complex enterprise environments.
- Proven experience working on large-scale IT transformation programmes.
- Strong background in business process analysis and optimisation.
- Experience gathering and managing requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated experience working on cloud transformation, digital transformation, ERP, CRM or systems integration projects.
- Ability to challenge stakeholders constructively and influence decisions.
- Strong workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience operating in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
- Excellent communication skills with both business and technical audiences.
Preferred Experience
- Experience within Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Healthcare or Medical Devices industries.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Experience supporting application migration or modernisation programmes.
- Understanding of regulated environments and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of data migration, integration projects or enterprise application landscapes.
