NTT DATA is actively looking for a Network Security engineer for one of its partners in Brussels. This freelance position is hybrid (3 days a week).
Main responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of network security measures:
- Develop and deploy security strategies to protect networks against cyber attacks and unauthorized access.
- Set up and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and other security features.
- Network performance monitoring and management:
- Continuously monitor networks to detect and respond to security incidents.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Problem solving and technical support:
- Diagnose and solve network security problems.
- Provide advanced technical support and collaborate with other teams to resolve incidents.

Technical skills
Network Management and Routing: Understanding the fundamentals of network management, including configuring and managing routers and switches. Knowledge of routing protocols and concepts such as dynamic routing, static routing, and inter-domain routing. In addition, this integrates the Express Route, connection to ISP, WiFi network, DNS solutions as well as TACACS
Network Security: Expertise in setting up and managing firewalls, VPN solutions, Proxy (forward and reverse) or even Load Balancers
Cloud Security and Secure Access: Understanding of securing cloud environments, including protecting data in transit and at rest, and securing access. Mastery of the ZTNA concept.
Security Incident Management: Ability to detect and respond to security incidents, analyze threats, and respond to vulnerabilities.
Automation and Scripting: Skills in automating network tasks to improve operational efficiency, using common scripting languages.
Knowledge of Operating Systems: Familiarity with operating systems used in network environments.
Security Standards and Protocols: Knowledge of network security standards and cryptography protocols to secure communications.
