Support Engineer - what is the role
- System Administration & Deployment: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and Hardware globally, ensuring system performance and high availability
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide third-line support, resolve complex technical issues, and coordinate with internal teams and clients
- Security & Compliance: Apply security best practices, perform audits, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate system documentation and generate performance, incident, and capacity reports
- Collaboration & Training: Work cross-functionally, support presales activities, conduct trainings, and occasionally assist with Hardware assembly and on-site installations
Support Engineer - the perfect match
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience with 3-5 years in Linux system administration or support roles
- Technical Expertise: Strong Linux skills (Red Hat preferred), scripting, and experience with Virtualization (VMware, Proxmox), containers (Docker/Podman), and orchestration (Swarm/Kubernetes)
- Infrastructure & Tools: Knowledge of networking protocols, configuration management (Ansible), monitoring tools (Zabbix, ELK), and general PC software (Windows, Linux, Android)
- Additional Skills: Experience with databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), security (PKI, HSM), electronics, and automated testing is a plus
- Languages: Proficiency in English, Dutch and French required
