Backend Tech Lead

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to backend and data engineering teams, ensuring compliance with standards and contributing to microservices architecture design.
- Lead the delivery of secure, high-performance backend and data-driven components by overseeing development, optimization, deployment, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather and analyze functional and technical requirements and design system architectures.
- Plan, supervise, and support team members throughout the delivery process, breaking down work and managing tasks.
- Provide user support and monitor deliverables post-release to ensure stable operations.
- Engage with traders, quants, developers, and product teams within a distributed agile environment to drive business outcomes.

Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in backend or data engineering roles
- Demonstrated experience in technical leadership or senior individual contributor roles
- Strong experience in Python (mandatory).
- Hands on experience with Kubernetes (mandatory).
- Cloud architecture experience (mandatory).
- Good understanding of networking and cyber security.
- Experience with electronic or algorithmic trading is an advantage.
- Knowledge of microservices based architectures is an advantage
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience
