Network Engineer
Job overview
Contract role focused on designing, implementing, securing, and supporting modern enterprise network infrastructures in on-premises and cloud environments for a 6 to 12 month engagement with hybrid work requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructures covering LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and cloud connectivity.
- Implement and support Zero Trust Network Access architectures and security best practices.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks Firewalls and security policies.
- Deploy and support Prisma Access and Prisma Cloud solutions.
- Manage switching and routing environments using Cisco and HPE/Aruba technologies.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security posture using enterprise monitoring and SIEM tools.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure network integration.
- Support VPN technologies, network segmentation, NAC, and identity-aware access controls.
- Perform network upgrades, firmware updates, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for network and security issues.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when applicable.

Qualifications
- 3-7 years of experience in network or infrastructure engineering
- Experience implementing or supporting Zero Trust security models
- Experience with cloud networking concepts in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Certifications such as Pcnsa, PCNSE, CCNA, CCNP, or Aruba credentials
