We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer in the financial services sector. You will collect, process, and analyse data to support critical business decisions. This role requires strong technical expertise, business insight, and the ability to communicate findings clearly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, link, and validate data from multiple sources.
- Analyse data to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand data requirements.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards.
- Provide actionable, data-driven recommendations.
- Summarise complex information into clear, concise messages for management.
- Work independently while staying aligned with team goals.
- Demonstrate determination, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.
Skills & Experience:
- Proficient in SQL, SAS, and advanced Excel (including VBA).
- Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesise complex data and influence stakeholders.
- Minimum 4 years in Data Analytics, preferably in financial services.
- Familiarity with data governance and GDPR is an advantage.
- Analytical, proactive, and a collaborative team player able to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, or a related field.
