My client in the Insurance Sector is looking for a Senior Developer to join on a freelance mission. We need someone who can combine strong technical skills with high level comms to help in a series of projects involving migrations and technical improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Using your strong background in development to (language/code isn't important) to help improve existing code
- Understanding and identifying different areas for improvement within the code
- Being the focal point for the education of development best practices
- Communicating with different stakeholders - training and mentoring juniors. We need a really effective communicator.
- Extracting different parts of code from existing applications
- Play a role in many projects such as the migration of reports to an Azure environment.
What do you need?
- 5 Years of experience within Software Development
- Programming skills in Python + expertise with CI/CD Pipelines.
- Insurance knowledge a bonus
- Knowledge of VB a bonus (legacy code they're also working with)
Logistics
- 3 days per week onsite in Brussels, the rest is remote.
- Initial contract of 6 months.
- English and French fluent. Dutch a bonus also.
