We are looking for a Senior Windows System Engineer with solid Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise and a strong background in customer-centric or commerce-driven environments.
You'll play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our hybrid infrastructure while supporting business-critical systems.
This is a 3-month contract with high potential for extension based on performance and ongoing project needs.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Support and improve GCP cloud infrastructure, including Computer Engine, IAM, networking, and Storage.
- Develop and enhance automation processes using PowerShell, TerraForm, or other tools.
- Ensure high system availability and performance, especially during peak business periods.
- Implement and monitor security best practices aligned with retail compliance standards (e.g. PCI-DSS).
- Provide senior-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT security, network engineers, and business analysts.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure and operational procedures.
Profile requirements
Must-haves:
- 5+ years in a Windows System Engineering role.
- Proven experience managing infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and core network services.
- Experience in a customer-centric or commerce-driven environment
- Automation and scripting (PowerShell, TerraForm).

Languages: English (mandatory), French and/or Dutch (strong plus)
Nice-to-haves:
- Professional GCP certification (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect or SysOps).
- Working knowledge of ITIL and change management processes.
- French and/or Dutch language skills.
- Experience with hybrid environments (On-Prem + cloud).
