We are looking for a Mid/Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Brussels.
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements from the client, analyze them, and translate them into clear and concise user stories
- Act as an internal consultant to translate business questions into insights
- Define an “action plan” to deliver user stories by helping the team to break down user stories into tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements
- Participate in planning, support, and execution of software development projects
- Initiate and follow up projects under the close supervision of the Project Leader/Project Manager to ensure that a smooth execution of projects can be guaranteed
- Validate newly developed systems to ensure that a successful implementation is possible in agreement with the set criteria of the (internal) customer
- Review and perform root cause analysis of data errors and provide short-term and long-term solutions for issues
- Participate in user acceptance testing and provide feedback to development teams
- Resolve roadblocks to maximize team impact
- Provide direct client support and anticipate client's needs
- Communicate progress and status of projects to stakeholders and management
- Prepare and deliver presentations and reports
Requirements and skills
- Fluent (written and spoken) in Dutch, French and English
- Strong problem-solving and business judgment skills
- Excellent analytical capabilities including the ability to research
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel and SQL
- Knowledge and experience with project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall)
