Your new company

Hays is partnering with an international technology company active in advanced automation and data management solutions for the energy and logistics sector. The organisation develops its hardware and software entirely in‑house and supports customers across Europe in improving operational efficiency. With several hundred employees worldwide, the company offers a professional yet approachable culture where teamwork, autonomy and customer focus are key. You will join a European Operations team that values expertise, continuous learning and high-quality service delivery.

 

Your new role

As Technical Support Engineer, you provide high‑level technical and application support to professional users across Europe. You help customers in sectors such as energy logistics, transport terminals and industrial operations to optimise their systems and reduce downtime.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Offering advanced troubleshooting, answering technical questions and solving complex software and system issues
  • Supporting both internal and external users via phone, email and remote tools
  • Performing onsite and remote implementations of customised solutions, up to 20% travel in Europe
  • Gathering relevant technical information from customers to assess issues and propose resolutions
  • Advising users on best practices to improve operational efficiency
  • Documenting findings and contributing to the internal knowledge base
  • Escalating software defects to development teams and participating in testing and validation
  • Participating in an after‑hours rotation for urgent support needs

In this role, you contribute directly to user satisfaction and operational continuity while acting as a trusted technical advisor.

 

Your profile


You have at least two years of experience in a technical support or application support role. You communicate clearly, think analytically and enjoy solving complex issues.

 

You bring:

  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written, German or French is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a hands‑on mindset
  • Knowledge of LinuxMySQL or MariaDBnetworking concepts and general IT infrastructure
  • The ability to work independently, remain flexible and manage changing priorities
  • customer‑oriented approach with strong problem‑solving and documentation skills
  • A valid category B driver's licence

The company offers a competitive salary between 2,500 and 3,000 EUR gross per month, plus a company carAdditional benefits may include standard allowances and insurance plans, depending on the internal policy.
