Role
As a Test Manager, you hold a transversal and strategic position within the Technology department. You are responsible for managing the test community of practice, which brings together test engineers from multiple teams.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leadership & governance
- Define, promote, and evolve the overall testing strategy within the Build department
- Provide functional leadership to Test Leads and Test Engineers to ensure methodological consistency and quality
- Set up and monitor common KPIs for testing activities across all projects
- Cross-team coordination
- Lead and structure the testing community (test guild) by encouraging knowledge sharing, best practices, and skill development
- Collaborate with Release Managers, Project Managers, Product Owners, Resource Managers, and Scrum Masters to embed testing practices throughout the software development lifecycle
- Methodology & quality
- Tailor testing practices to fit existing methodologies (Prince2 for the Project Life Cycle and Agile for the Software Development Life Cycle)
- Contribute to defining the Definition of Done (DoD) for Agile teams
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, proper use of tools (test automation, test management, CI/CD pipelines), and regulatory requirements
- Coaching & development
- Support testers in growing their skills through mentoring, internal training, and hands-on coaching
- Design and follow up on continuous learning and development plans for the test community
Profile
- At least 7 years of experience in software testing, with 3+ years in a coordination or management role
- Proficiency in Prince2 and scaled Agile methodologies (such as Nexus, SAFe, or equivalent)
- Strong expertise in test management, automation, CI/CD, and relevant tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Zephyr, Xray, Selenium, etc.)
- Experience in multi-team environments with transversal challenges
- Natural leadership, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset
- Languages: Fluent in French or Dutch, with strong proficiency in English
- Creative and accountable, with a proactive attitude and solution-oriented approach
